The Hope of Azure Springs

This is an excellent read by debut author Rachel Fordham. I thoroughly enjoyed the book from it's great characters to the suspenseful moments to the absolutely lovely ending that made me smile and shed a tear or two. The ending was perfect!  It was a nice, easy read that I read in less than 24 hours and it kept me engrossed from beginning to end. It has a great message in that losing people you love doesn't mean you have nothing left to live for, but that you need to live for them and the ones we lose never truly leave us. The book does have some sad moments but the takeaway is love is stronger then anything, even death. I will definitely read this author again!

All We Ever Wanted

This was a difficult book to read in some aspects. With the storyline of this book Emily weaves a compelling story told from 3 different points of view about an issue that unfortunately has become sort of commonplace in today's society. It is extremely well written and when you add in one of the viewpoints is a 16 year old girl, another her single parent father and the 3rd the mother of the boy accused of taking and distributing explicit photos of the girl, Emily has crafted an explosive story. My personal preferences generally veer to a "happier" story or a mystery, so while this won't go down as a favorite book for me, I did enjoy it. It did take me little longer to read because I had to take breaks from it but I am glad I stuck with it and finished.

I received this book through NetGalley and was not required to post a review. All thoughts are my own.

The Reckoning at Gossamer Pond

Wow! This book was absolutely enthralling. I was torn between wanting it to end so I knew the answer to the mysteries and wanting more of the story. I couldn't put it down! It had a couple of jaw dropping moments for me (which is unusual!) and the way Jamie Jo wove this story was so exciting and mesmerizing. She pens unusual stories and they draw the reader in and they don't let go! This story was fascinating, enjoyable, and perfect for listening while I was in the car. I can not recommend this story enough if you like a great mystery...and it's bonus because it has two in two different times entertwined!

Welcome To Wishing Bridge

This was an absolutely charming book! I picked this up at the library because I loved the cover and the story intrigued me. I had never heard of it before spotting it on the new books shelf at the library. I am so glad I did! This one is not to be missed! I adored the town of Wishing Bridge. What an adorable setting! The characters were relatable and likable and I can’t wait for further stories about them. The story itself kept me entertained and made me smile throughout. It’s simply put, a nearly perfect book and is one of my top reads for 2018, hands down. I bought a copy for my keeper shelf!

Vanished In The Night

This was a quick, exciting read that I read on a relaxing Saturday afternoon. The mystery kept me guessing with several twists and turns and held my attention fairly well. It started off with a very exciting opening scene and it didn't let up once....glad my birthing experiences were much calmer than Kaylee's!! LOL! Another fun Lynette Eason read!

My Heart Belongs in Galveston, Texas

This was a fun look at Galveston, Texas back in the late 1800's. A Pinkerton detective and a reporter with a romantic history join forces to solve a decades old mystery. The story was interesting and the kept me wondering how the threads of the mystery would all tie together. Add the romance thrown in and it made for a fun Sunday read.

Dead Drift

Dani Pettrey has crafted an explosive (literally an explosion on the first page) and quite enjoyable finale to her Chesapeake Valor series. It kept me spellbound and engaged the whole way through as she weaved satisfying conclusions to both the cold case murder of Griff's sister and the terrorist threat that the team has been chasing through out the series. I loved the interactions of Kate and Luke and the ending wrapped everything up nicely. This has been a series that has been exciting and engaging for both my husband and I and he has been waiting impatiently for me to finish so he can read it too. All in all, if you love gripping Christian Fiction, read this series. It will NOT disappoint!!

I was provided the book by the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
