Flights of Fancy

My Rating: 5 stars
Amazing. This book was wonderful. Ian is totally swoon-worthy, Izzie is endearing, Uncle Amos and Aunt Birdie are a hoot and the 4 kiddos are heart-stealing. Jen literally pens stories that leap off the page and this one was a fun story that had me in stitches nearly from the word go. Add in Elmer the chicken and Buttercup the cow, and you can see why the antics in this story were completely entertaining. I couldn’t put it down and was sorry to see it end. I am counting the days till her next one!

Gone With The Gown

My Rating: 3 Stars

A quick and easy cozy mystery read. This series does have interesting storylines and mysteries for Mallory and Rachel to try to help solve. This one kept me guessing at how all the pieces would end up coming together and held my attention. An inconsistency of a previous murder victim showing up alive and well in this book in passing was a bit jarring. All in all, a decent cozy read. I look forward to visiting with Mallory and the gang again soon.

Holiday Amnesia

My Rating: 4 Stars

Another hit outta the park for Lynette Eason! Wrangler’s Corner is a fun miniseries in the Love Inspired Suspense line that I thoroughly enjoy. This story kept me guessing who the bad guy was for a good chunk of the book and it had several exciting moments. I really felt for Robin and Toby, they were likable characters and made me really want to figure out who was after them. I know we have visited Wrangler’s Corner several times and I am hoping for more visits for sure!

Code of Valor

My Rating: 5 Stars

Code Of Valor is another superbly crafted novel by Lynette Eason. It opens with a bang and keeps up an intriguing and compelling pace through out the entire book. The mystery kept me guessing especially when it seemed the folks after Emily were on two different sides since one of the would be assassins were taken out by another bad guy! I really wasn't sure how all the pieces fit and was excited to find out. And my “Dive Team Investigations” loving heart was THRILLED to see Gabe, Anissa, Ryan & Adam from Lynn Blackburn’s books make a cameo. That was awesome. This was an exciting read and I am eagerly waiting for Linc’s story this summer!! Can’t wait for it.

Catching Christmas

My Rating: 3 stars
A short sweet enjoyable Christmas read. I enjoyed getting to know Callie, Finn and Sydney. I was pleasantly surprised that it is set in my hometown of St. Louis, that was probably my favorite element of the book. Its quick pace and switching back and forth between Sydney was a little much for me and I would liked a little more backstory on the characters but all in all I did enjoy the story. The ending was nice and believable and it’s perfect for a quick easy read over the holidays.
