This Wandering Heart

In the first entry in the Madison River Romance series, Keira Knudsen gets the traveling opportunity of a lifetime, but when she reunites with her first love, Robbie, she learns that even a wandering heart needs a home....

No one in the quaint town of West Yellowstone, Montana knows that unassuming geography teacher Keira Knudsen moonlights as sensational travel blogger Kat Wanderfull. No one, that is, except for her first love, Robbie Matthews, who has just discovered the woman he is falling for online is the same one that broke his heart five years ago.

But Robbie has another problem: the mother of his daughter, Anabelle, has resurfaced after a three-year absence determined to rip Anabelle away from him. Robbie needs a steady paycheck for a chance at custody, and now, on the eve of a grand adventure that could give Keira a chance to flee her old, troubled life once and for all, she is in need of assistance.

With so much broken trust between them, Keira and Robbie must keep an arms-length away to make this partnership work. But the more time they spend together, exploring majestic places and sharing new experiences, the closer they get--until their secrets and dreams threaten to cost them everything.

This was charming! It was a fun story with great characters and it kept me smiling. I really enjoyed reading and listening to the audio version. Annabelle stole my heart from the beginning and was a joy. The humor was super fun and one of my favorite parts of the story. I can not wait for book two...need it super soon!

On A Coastal Breeze

For Madison Grayson, life is good. Newly licensed as a marriage and family therapist, she can't wait to start her practice. Despite the unfortunate shortage of eligible bachelors on the island--they're all too young, too old, or too weird--Maddie feels like she's finally found her sweet spot. Not even one panic attack in the last year. Not one.

And then Ricky O'Shea drops in. Literally. Floating down from the pure blue sky, the one man in the world she hoped never to see again--the one who'd been her archnemesis from kindergarten through her senior dance--parachutes into town, landing on Boon Dock, canopy draping behind him like a superhero. Ricky O'Shea. Now Pastor Rick, the new minister on Three Sisters Island.

Time to panic.

With wit and a bit of whimsy, bestselling author Suzanne Woods Fisher invites you back to Three Sisters Island where family, forgiveness, and a second chance at love await.

My Rating: 4 Stars

I am so happy to be back on Three Sisters Island. After loving the first book in the series last spring, I was excited to see what going on with the Grayson family-this story didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed this book which focuses more on Maddie and what happens when her nemesis/crush from childhood becomes the pastor on the island. Ricky was such a fun and likable character. Their relationship was fun to watch progress and the way Suzanne weaves in their backstory was a cool element. I also loved catching up with Cam, Seth and Cooper and seeing their story progress. Now I am super excited to get Blaine's story..can't wait to see what happens next!

What a start to Patricia's new suspense series. I really enjoyed this quick and easy read that introduces us to the Natchez Trace Park Rangers. The mystery was very good. There were several suspects and pieces to fit together to solve the mystery which made for an exciting read. I am looking forward to more in this series!!

I grew up with Christy Miller and the Haven Maker books are some of the best of all of the Christy books. There is just so much meaning and "life" stuff in these books that make them incredible reads. I really enjoyed this story with Jennalyn and her struggles. The struggles she faces can be a common one for wives and mothers and I identified with her a lot. This story is raw and beautiful and I adored it. I am so looking forward to more in this series!!

I received this book from NetGalley but also purchased a hard copy as well.

Storing Up Trouble

When Beatrix Waterbury's train is disrupted by a heist, scientist Norman Nesbit comes to her aid. After another encounter, he is swept up in the havoc she always seems to attract--including the attention of the men trying to steal his research--and they'll soon discover the curious way feelings can grow between two very different people in the midst of chaos.

This book gets ALL the stars! I think this is definitely Jen's funniest book to date, and believe me that is saying something. I loved Beatrix and Norman and their banter. There was a level of wit that I quite simply adored. The story was fantastic and the back and forth was the perfect icing on the cake. Even my 4 year old kept asking me why I couldn't stop laughing. This was my funniest read this year and definitely the most fun. I LOVED this book! I purchased the audio version in conjunction with receiving a hard copy for review purposes. It was a hoot to listen to!

Stay With Me

Loving her is a risk he can't afford . . . and can't resist.

When acclaimed Bible study author Genevieve Woodward receives an anonymous letter referencing her parents' past, she returns to her hometown in the Blue Ridge Mountains to chase down her family's secret. However, it's Genevieve's own secret that catches up to her when Sam Turner, owner of a historic farm, uncovers the source of shame she's worked so hard to hide.

Sam has embraced his sorrow, his isolation, and his identity as an outsider. He's spent years carving out both career success and peace of mind. The last thing he wants is to rent the cottage on his property to a woman whose struggles stir his worst failure back to life. Yet can he bear to turn her away right when she needs him most?

My Rating: 5 Stars
This book floored me. It was quite simply amazing. Becky has truly outdone herself with this book. I am not sure I can put into words the pure beauty of this story. The characters of Genevieve and Sam were unlike any characters I have read before and they were wonderful and flawed and kept me immersed in this story along with the secondary characters. This whole story drew me in and I had trouble putting the book down at all. This book tugged all my heartstrings and that hasn't happened in a long time. Basically all there is to say is I loved everything about this book and it will go down as one of my top 2020 reads, no question. I am not sure how I will wait a year for the next book in the series...need it yesterday!!

Wow, this book was a doozy! I really enjoyed the mystery and the action of the book and the end took me COMPLETELY by surprise. I can't remember the last time I was that surprised by a book, and I loved the fact I didn't see that coming. Randee and Ace are characters you can't help but like and root for. This was a fantastic LIS read and I am looking forward to more stories from Sharee!
